All brides want to look absolutely stunning on their wedding day. While you’re choosing the perfect dress and making sure your skin has that warm golden glow, you may want to pay special attention to your face. This pre-wedding facial DIY is the perfect way to ensure that your skin is magnificent for your big day.
One Week Before
Start with the facial one week before. First, create an exfoliating scrub using honey, cinnamon and sugar. A teaspoon of each will work. Take a hot shower to open your pores, and then apply the scrub in gentle circles. Allow it to stay on your face for 15 minutes, absorbing the oil and dirt deep in your pores. Then, rinse it off with warm water. When the scrub is completely rinsed, splash your face with cold water to close the pores.
Now you want to use a little olive oil or shea butter to moisturize your face. It only takes a little, and you’ll notice that at first your skin feels greasy but within 15 minutes, it’s quickly absorbed, leaving your face supple and soft.
Each Day Leading Up to the Wedding
Once you’ve performed the exfoliation, you will simply need to perform daily maintenance and make sure the rest of your pores are perfectly clean. Do this by applying honey and cinnamon (no sugar) to your face as a mask. Leave it there for fifteen minutes and then rinse it off, giving your face a splash of cool water to close the pores. Finish off by using a little olive oil or shea butter.
When you follow this routine, your skill will look outstanding on the day of your wedding – clean pores, glowing skin.
