Time management is a challenge on its own, but when you throw wedding planning into the mix, it can become even trickier to handle! Here are some tips for managing your time as you plan for your big day.

In today’s modern world, it’s no wonder that a bride needs to learn how to manage her time while she plans her wedding! Between work, school, a social life, hobbies, and your new hubby-to-be, life is so fast-paced and it can be nearly impossible to cram everything into your schedule.

This is the age of multitasking, and if you’re already overloaded, burnt-out, and your multitasking thumb is wearing down before your very eyes, then it’s crucial to equip yourself with some simple, easy-to-apply tips that can help you manage your time while you manage your wedding plans.

Prioritize

When it comes to planning your wedding, it’s important to prioritize your tasks and to hire a wedding planner, regardless of how large or small your occasion will be. Even if you are tight on funds, with a little research, you can find a wedding planner that will work within your budget. Many coordinators will offer discounted packages or will offer services to help with certain portions of your wedding if you can’t afford to hire them for the whole shebang. Focus on the essentials: booking a ceremony and reception location, finding the dress, and booking the other vendors, such as the caterer and photographer. Make a checklist and only complete the necessary tasks during the allotted time periods. Everything else can wait.

Learn to Delegate

Hiring a wedding coordinator is the best way to delegate some of your planning tasks, but that’s not the only way you can hand off some of the workload while you attend to everyday life. Communicate with your bridesmaids and let them take care of their own fitting appointments, their appointment reminders, or other tasks related to the wedding party. Your maid of honor or other close friends and family members can also help attend the cake tasting and other vendor appointments. You can even hire a travel agent to arrange and take care of your honeymoon details. These are just a few ways you can better manage your time while planning your wedding.
