As you’re planning your wedding, you’re going to be making lists like crazy and checking off your chores. After the wedding, you have some things to attend to as well. Make sure you don’t forget to do these 4 important things.
Return any Rented Equipment
If you’ve rented anything (from chairs and tables to china), make sure you return it very soon after the wedding. Many companies charge a late fee if you fail to return their items by the due date, so to avoid these, make sure you get them returned quickly. If you’re leaving for a honeymoon, enlist a family member or close friend to handle it for you.
The Thank You Letters
Every person who provided you and your new spouse with a gift should get a thank-you letter! Make sure you get these out within a few weeks after your wedding. Each one should be hand-written and specifically mention the gift you received from the person you’re thanking.
Legal Stuff
Now that you’re married, there are some legal issues to attend to. Make sure you get that name change and then get new identification cards and important items changed to your new name. This way, you don’t experience any issues in the future.
Check Up on Pictures
You’ll probably need to wait a week or two to get your beautiful wedding photos back, but you may want to check back with your photographer so you can pick and choose the photos you really love! You should take a good look at each photo and make sure they are satisfactory.
